Teachers who are new to WCPS are invited to shop for free at the WCTA Teacher Closet. The closet will be on site at South Hagerstown High School on Monday, August 12, and remain on site through the end of the event on Thursday, August 15. New teachers are encouraged to stop in to peruse the materials and books that have been donated for their use.
Leftover items will be available at the WCTA office after August 15. WCTA and WCESP members can come by to shop for any of the remaining free materials to have them for students, families, and schools. Call Carol Mowen, WCTA president, at the office or email her to be sure someone is at the office to “unlock the closet” before coming.
Thanks go to Membership Committee and WCTA Board member Giovanna Grimm and WCTA Building Representative Steve Schawalder for their work to coillect and organization donations and to WCTA retired teachers Robin Spickler and Susan Day for their work in unpacking, organizing, and repacking all the items. Thanks also go to all the WCTA members who donated gently used or new items to the closet.
