Update on the WCPS Health Clinic for WCTA Members

The new WCPS Health Clinic for WCPS employees and their dependents who are enrolled in the WCPS medical plan with Cigna is open! Here are some highlights and announcements to note for those who are using the clinic and for eligible users:

• Pediatric care can start at the age of 3. Children under age 3 will need to see their pediatricians to receive their childhood immunizations and wellness checks. HOWEVER, children under the age of 3 can come to the clinic for sick visits with their parents and/or older sibings.
• The appointment portal does not show all available appointments so that urgent care / sick visits can be available each day in the 5 and 6 pm hours. If you need to get a same day appointment after the school day, please call the clinic directly.
• The clinic has some flex “before hours” times for bus drivers or other staff whose work schedules dictate a before 7 AM need. Call to discuss a specific need to see if an accommodation can be made.
• About 1 in 6 eligible staff are enrolled in the WCPS Health Clinic thus far. Please consider signing up so that WCPS can realize the savings projected.
