WCTA Summer Summit

The Washington County Teachers Association has planned this training event primarily for MSEA members who work in Washington County.

Members of other MSEA affiliates who live in Washington County or neighboring counties and/or who work for other public school districts in Maryland may attend as well.

Washington County Public Safety Training Center, 18350 Public Safety Place, Hagerstown, MD 21740

EVENT SCHEDULE:

• 9:00: Opening Remarks
• 9:15-10:15:  Session 1
• 10:30-11:30:  Session 2
• 11:30 – 12:15:  Lunch provided on site
• 12:15-1:15: Session 3
• 1:30-2:30: Session 4
• 2:40-3:00: Closing activity TBD Closing Remarks / Evaluations / Next Steps

Sessions will focus on the following:

• Understanding the Negotiated Agreement (2 Different Sessions)
• Understanding the Negotiations Process
• Organizing for Change
• Being Part of the Union Network: Building Rep Training (Will be a day-long training over all 4 sessions)
